Axel has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry and has been involved in capital rounds for companies such as Informed, was a former partner at EQT, and served as marketing and expansion manager at Spotify. Today, he is a business angel and advisor in venture capital fundraising.
Through my incubator, Peak, I traveled to Åre to participate in an event with Axel. The day was filled with incredibly valuable information, good food, and many rewarding conversations.
As you can see in the picture, we look quite pensive, and that's not surprising. Venture capital is a real jungle in the beginning. Personally, I have struggled a lot with questions such as: when is the right time to raise capital, what valuation is reasonable, what structure suits the company best, and how do you make sure you do the right thing from the start?
Axel helped me sort out many of these questions and gave me a much clearer picture of how I should think going forward. After the meeting, I feel much more prepared and confident about our first watch investment, which we are currently working actively on.
