 Welcome to EasyScan. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the following terms of use. Please read them carefully before you start using the service. 

1. Acceptance of terms and conditions 

These terms of use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of EasyScan and its features. By using EasyScan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, you must immediately stop using the app. 

2. Authorization and account 

2.1 Eligibility 

To use EasyScan, you must have the legal capacity to enter into agreements in accordance with applicable law. Minors may only use the service with the consent of their legal guardian. 

2.2 Account and login details 

You are responsible for protecting your login details and ensuring that all activity on your account is in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You are not permitted to share, transfer, or sell your account to anyone else. 

3. Use of the service 

3.1 Function of the service 

EasyScan provides information about ingredients, allergens, and product content based on available sources. The app can also offer recommendations and personal settings based on user preferences. 

3.2 Limitations and disclaimer 

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but EasyScan does not guarantee that: 

  • all information is complete, current, or error-free, 
  • all products are in the database, 
  • the information is suitable for use as medical advice. 

EasyScan is not intended to replace medical advice or professional recommendations. If you are unsure about allergies or health risks, you should always consult a medical expert. 

3.3 Unauthorized use 

You agree not to use the app: 

  • in a manner that violates laws or regulations, 
  • to try to gain unauthorized access to our systems, 
  • to manipulate, alter, or disrupt the functionality of the service, 
  • for commercial purposes without our express written consent. 

4. Personal data and privacy 

4.1 Data collection and processing 

EasyScan processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. It describes: 

  • what information we collect, 
  • how they are used, 
  • how they are protected, 
  • what rights you have. 

By using the app, you confirm that you have read and agree to our processing of personal data. 

4.2 Security 

We take reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

5. Subscriptions and payments (if applicable) 

If EasyScan offers paid versions, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, the following applies: 

  • Payments are handled through the App Store or Google Play. 
  • All prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. 
  • Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless canceled before the next billing period. 

(If you do not have payment models, this point can be removed.) 

6. Intellectual property rights 

EasyScan, including all content, design, code, logos, and features, is owned by EasyScan or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the app in accordance with the Terms. 

You may not: 

  • copy, modify, or distribute content from EasyScan, 
  • use our brand without express permission. 

7. Changes to the service and terms and conditions 

We may update or modify these Terms at any time and make adjustments to the app's features. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you via the app or another appropriate channel. 

Continued use of the service after changes means that you accept the updated Terms and Conditions. 

8. Limitation of liability 

To the extent permitted by law, EasyScan is not responsible for: 

  • indirect or consequential damages, 
  • losses linked to incorrect product information, 
  • damages arising from your reliance on information in the app. 

Your use of the app is entirely at your own risk. 

9. Account termination 

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You can terminate your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. 

10. Applicable law and disputes 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall primarily be resolved by contacting our support team. If this is not possible, the dispute shall be settled by a Swedish court of law.
