The day after my birthday, I drove down to Länsförsäkringar Jämtland in Östersund to take the stage and present my business idea. At that point, EasyScanning was still in its very early stages and the competition was tough, filled with incredibly strong, creative, and innovative ideas.
Unfortunately, EasyScanning did not win the Young Idea of the Year 2024 award. But despite this, the day was far from a loss. It was an inspiring and well-organized event where I gained invaluable lessons, new contacts, and honest feedback that I really took to heart.
We left the venue as winners anyway – even if the trophy had to stay behind.
With renewed energy and a clearer picture of what needed to be improved, I took new steps. I knew exactly what was required to be stronger at the next pitch opportunity. That chance came shortly after when I traveled to Umeå—more on that in the section "Winner of Sweden's largest start-up competition."
Even though I didn't win this time, I managed to impress Företagarna (the Swedish Federation of Business Owners) and made it onto their 103 list for Young Ideas of the Year 2024.
